Loss of maternal MOF causes chromsomal defects in early embryos. Early embryos (0–2 h) from mof1 and yw67c23 were collected, fixed with DNA dye PI and visualised using confocal microscopy. The mof1 mutants displayed a wide variety of chromosomal defects like (A) chromatid bridges which indicates the presence of lagging chromosomes (B) sister chromatid separation and (C) telophase defects.
