Loss of MOF results in free centrosomes. Embryos from 0–2 h from yw67c23 and mof1 mutants were immunostained with anti-centrosomin antibody (green) and DNA was stained using PI (red). Free centrosomes without the chromosomes were present in the mof1 embryos indicating the presence of abnormal nuclei which have been removed by nuclear fallout mechanism. Bar indicates 5 μm scale.
