CREB activation in WT and Msk1(-/-) ES cells. WT and Msk1(-/-) ES cells were serum-starved overnight and stimulated with 15% FCS (A) or 20 μM LPA (B) for the times indicated. Cell lysates were electrophoresed and immunoblotted with antibodies against the phosphorylated forms of CREB/ATF1 and ERK1/ERK2 (p-CREB, p-ATF1, p-ERK1/2). An antibody against total ERK1/ERK2 served as loading control.
