PCRs using mα-SMASD primer pair amplified mα-SMAT artificial DNA template (Ct = 25.64) (a), but did not amplify the mß-actinT, mγ-cyto-actinT and mγ-smooth-actinT DNA fragments (bd). Our mouse α-SMA specific PCR resulted in a product with single melting peak at 83.4 °C (e) and in one discrete band at 105 bp in agarose gel after electrophoresis (f)
